LOCATION

big balls

Hall’s Harbour, Nova Scotia is located on The Bay of Fundy at the end of Route 359, 16 km north of the Kings County town of Kentville.

One of the most active small ports on the bay Hall’s Harbour is home to a thriving shark, halibut, and lobster fishery.

The local lobster pound sends hundreds of tons of lobster to all corners of the earth annually and you can enjoy that spectacular treat daily at their restaurant from May thru October.

TIDES

Hall’s Harbour has some of the greatest tides on earth. As the tide ebbs it leaves all the fishing vessels and pleasure craft in the harbour high and dry, as depicted in this painting by David Lacey.

Every twelve hours and forty minutes the tide swings from high to low and back to high through a range of some thirty five vertical feet.

The true spectacle of this is best enjoyed if you stay the night or the week at one of our B&B’s, cottages or Inns.
